Recruitment of NPQH Graduation Board Assessors

NPQHAs you may already be aware EMLC has been awarded a national contract by the National College to run the Graduation Centre for the redesigned National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). We are responsible for managing the NPQH graduation board process for the whole of England on behalf of the National College.

We have already recruited a number of graduation board members but remain interested in hearing from more people who are interested in taking on the role.

NPQH graduation board members will be responsible for undertaking the crucial task of identifying those trainee heads who are ready for headship and should therefore be awarded the NPQH.  Each board is responsible for conducting structured interviews and is made up of 3 members who have been trained and accredited by the national College. At least one member of the panel will be a serving head.

There will be four NPQH graduation ‘windows’ per annum. The graduation boards will be held across the country in order to minimise the travel for board members and trainee heads. We are seeking a commitment from board members to be available for a minimum number of days per annum, as follows:

We have already recruited a number of graduation board members who have already attended training.  However, if you want to express an interest for future NPQH Graduation Board training and accreditation opportunities please complete the application form and return it to Liz Pearson at liz.pearson@emlc.co.uk.  You can find further details about the role in our terms of engagement and in the National College role profile of a board member.

At the next recruitment window, if your application is successful we will contact you to invite you to attend the training programme held at the National College.

Liz Pearson, Programme Manager (NPQH) will be leading the delivery of the NPQH Graduation Assessment provision. If you would like to find out more please contact  Liz on 07909 984390 or at liz.pearson@emlc.co.uk.
